Survey & Mitigation Calendars

Different protected species have to be surveyed and mitigated for at specific times of the year. Surveys outside of the specified survey times are unlikely to be considered acceptable for planning purposes. As a guide to the recommended survey and mitigaion periods for the most widely encountered protected species we have produced survey and mitigation calendars (available for download below). Please note that the calendars are for general guidance only and that specific site specific advice should always be sought.
