Welcome to J W Ecological Ltd

Planning for protected species and other ecological issues is becoming vitally important in order to meet the requirements of UK legislation and to prevent delays to building projects. Local authorities are increasingly asking for ecological surveys to support planning applications, whether this be bat and barn owl surveys for conversion projects or full ecological assessments of new development sites. Often the results of these surveys are asked for "up-front" prior to the granting of planning approval.

We offer a full range of ecological consultancy services including:

- Protected Species survey & licencing (eg bats, great crested newts,
water voles, badgers)
- Phase I Habitat Survey
- National Vegetation Classification (NVC) Survey
- Invasive Plant Species Surveyl
- Hedgerow Survey
- Site Supervision and Toolbox Talks

We also offer site mitigation services including:

- installation of newt fencing (permanent and temporary)
- bat & barn owl roost design and construction
- hedgerow relocation projects

Our clients include architects, planning consultants, construction companies, local authorities, utility companies and private individuals.
